Real Estate Agents in Canada Job Summary

The primary job purpose is to assist and support the Leasing department in attaining departmental and corporate objectives while maintaining the best level of customer service.

As a result, the incumbent will be expected to keep precise and efficient records, have good organizational and drafting skills, and have a willingness to guarantee that potential tenants’ first impressions are exceeded.

The Real Estate Agent, working under the leadership of the Real Estate Agent, will play an important role in the leasing discipline while also having the ability to assist with record keeping. This position necessitates a high level of attention to detail as well as a level of professionalism that aspires to set the industry standard for leasing.

Job Responsibilities

  • For many types of sites, including lease negotiations and civil coordination, the primary point of contact with landowners.
  • Reviewing local land-use rules and ensuring that locations comply with municipal and federal permitting requirements.

  • Scouting and identifying sites, negotiating and coordinating with landowners to engage in Real Estate agreements for the installation of various telecommunication facilities and projects
  • For real estate acquisition of sites, complete due diligence and property research, including title and registration searches, deed review, street vetting, zoning and parcel maps, and more.
  • Negotiate communications agreements with public and private property owners (lease agreements, licenses, and/or easements, for example).

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of prior real estate, outside sales, land agent, or site acquisition experience is required.
  • Negotiation abilities in the realms of land and real estate would be advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask many projects and be detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively both individually and collaboratively with project team members.
  • Meet deadlines in order to meet project and client objectives.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required. Other internet applications such as Google Earth, ArcGIS, and local Land Title databases have been used or are willing to be learned and used.
  • A valid driver’s license is necessary; some travel is required for site visits and other meetings.
  • A bachelor’s degree or a college diploma combined with work experience is considered a plus.
  • A real estate license is a valuable asset.
