Popular Singer, Simi whose real name is Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye Kosoko was born in 1988, on April 19. She’s a recording artist, songwriter, entertainer, and actress. She was born in Lagos State, Ojuelegba, a suburb of Surulere precisely. She was born as the last child of four children in a family of six.

Simi started her musical career as a gospel singer as she was a member of her local church’s choir. She started writing songs when she was 10 and after a while, she dabbled into hip-hop and then released her debut studio album titled “Ogaju” in 2008, the song contained “Ara Ile” and “Iya Temi” as produced by Samklef. She rose to stardom after releasing “Tiff”, a song of hers that was nominated at the 2015 Headies as Best Alternative Song.
