Making Eggs Sauce

Before we begin to explain the details involved in making egg sauce. Let me make it clear that this is not the only recipe or procedure. In addition, your preference is also key when it comes to preparing yours irrespective of using my recipe or not.

With that being said, let us dive right through the process. First, let me list the ingredients you need

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs (the number depends on your choice)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Scotch Bonnet (Ata Rodo)
  • Sweet corn (optional)
  • Carrot (optional)

Now to the process of preparing the delicious egg sauce

Step 1: Get the ingredients ready

Ensure all ingredients and necessary materials are ready. Before slicing the pepper, try to wash it. Tomatoes should also be diced and placed aside. Then, crack the eggs into a clean basin and whisk them until everything is properly mixed.

Step 2: Cook your vegetables

Over medium-high heat, add two teaspoons of vegetable oil to a dry saucepan. Add the chopped onion to the heated oil and cook for 2 minutes. The bell peppers should then be added to the pan and fried for around two minutes.

Add the chopped tomatoes and diced scotch bonnet pepper. Cook until they soften and take on an appetizing appearance. Then add the chopped carrot and the sweet corn next.

Keep in mind that you are not deep frying, thus the heat should not be high. Also, do not leave the veggies there for long.

Step 3: Put whipped eggs in

Check if the vegetables have been thoroughly sautéed. After that is accomplished, add the beaten eggs to the pot and keep stirring. Stir the eggs continuously until they firm and become fluffy.

Step 4: Add Flavour to the egg sauce

Stir while adding salt and pepper to taste, until the egg sauce is entirely cooked. In the end, you’ll get a smooth, creamy egg sauce. A delicious treat that is incredibly alluring to look at.

Step 5: Serve the egg sauce

The egg sauce is prepared for serving once it has finished cooking. The egg sauce goes well with a range of foods, including boiled rice, fried rice, yams, plantains, boiled Irish potatoes, or bread. If you want to go the extra mile, you can garnish it according to your taste.
