  2. The corn should be added to the water, and any that floats to the top should be taken out in case it has gone wrong. Heat should be turned down to medium-low when the corn is boiled. To get the corn as soft as possible, simmer it for 12 to 15 minutes.
  3. Give the corn an hour to soak. The more extended soaking period enables the lime to degrade the maize further.
  4. The tenderized corn should be rinsed in cool water after being drained into a colander. To get the husks off the corn, rub it between your palms. To prevent your corn starch from tasting like lime water, remove all of the hulls and leave only the light-colored inside of the corn kernels. Throw away the hulls.
  5. The maize can be dried by rubbing it between two sterile towels. The maize should then be ground using a stone mill, a food mill, a food processor, or a special grinder into fine particles. Your corn starch is now available for use.
  6. In a food processor or blender, combine the milk powder, corn flour, vanilla-flavored sugar, and food coloring for about 10 seconds.
  7. Set the resulting mixture aside. If you pour it into an airtight container, it will remain intact for as long as the powdered milk expires.
