Job Responsibilities
- giving residents who have dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or another form of memory loss-sensitive care and support.
- assisting residents with regular tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, dining, etc.).

- Manage medication as permitted by the law and complete daily service progress reports.
- Before each shift, check the daily assignment sheets for any modifications.
- Complete each task listed on the daily assignment page, then check it off.
- consistently and completely fill out time sheets
- As needed, assist with resident admission, discharge, and transfers.
- Report any maintenance, building, or safety issues or difficulties to the front desk staff, or, in the absence of front desk staff, fill a maintenance work order.
- Assist with feeding residents, busing tables, cleaning, and setting up rooms, and room trays when needed in the dining area during mealtimes.
- obey all core values and standards for quality
- swiftly respond to call lights and complete necessary documentation
- As required, offer residents escorted transportation to and from meals and activities.
- Report to the nurse any changes in the residents’ physical, mental, or emotional state, such as bruises, skin tears, depression, anxiety, lack of appetite, etc.
- Attend and take part in staff meetings and training as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- Two years or more of demonstrable experience working as a caregiver
- the ability to work and proper identification
- if necessary, evidence of current certificates (such as CNA, CHHA, etc.)
- ready to provide a live scan for fingerprinting (Or have current clearance)
- able to consent to TB testing (or have done so in the past 90 days or less)
- Willing to register with the State as a Home Care Aide (or provide current registration)
