A housekeeper/sterilization assistant is needed at the Randburg, Johannesburg-based Intercare Linden Medical and Dental Center.

The primary responsibility of this role is to keep the work area clean by carrying out various cleaning tasks and providing assistance as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Sanitize, stock, and provide for specific facility locations (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc)
• Perform and record regular maintenance and inspection tasks.
• Perform challenging cleaning duties and unique projects.
• Inform management of any emerging issues or maintenance requirements.

• Make alterations and little fixes.
• Maintain supply rooms’ inventory
• Utilizing a variety of cleaning supplies and instruments to complete one’s work Make sure to timely report any unreturned cleaning supplies, such as detergents, etc.
• Make sure the cleaning schedule is completed and signed as necessary.
• Make sure the timesheet is correctly filled out and signed.
• Cooperate with the other employees
• Observe all applicable health and safety laws.

Job Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required as a minimum.
• It will be desirable to have previous experience working in a customer-focused setting.
• Having computer skills is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit and strong enough to carry out jobs that need prolonged walking, standing, moving objects, and climbing small ladders.
• Experience in housekeeping from the past will be helpful.
