Job Responsibilities

  • Follows standardized recipes and production techniques to prepare hot and cold foods for patients and cafeteria customers.
  • Food safety and sanitation standards are upheld.
  • Meal planning and execution for the Heroes and Horses program using whole foods.
  • Provide nutritious meals 3x per day for 20+ people/meal
  • Management of the Double H Kitchen’s shopping and stocking
  • Following the seasonal food budget
  • Collaboration with food vendors and donation ideas should be discussed with the development team.
  • Oversee the kitchen and volunteers at Double H Ranch.
  • Meal preparation, planning, and cooking should be divided and delegated.
  • Prepare meals and snacks and distribute food in accordance with health and safety guidelines and policies.
  • Follow the Director’s daily menu, which includes USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations.
  • Maintain food and supply inventory and order more as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques are required; capital campaign experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to collaborate with and motivate staff, board members, and volunteers.
