Construction Safety Workers in the UK Job Summary

To work on our construction projects, Hyde is seeking to hire a Site inspector. One of the biggest owners and builders of affordable housing in the UK is The Hyde Group. Over the next five years, we can build 10,000 additional homes thanks to the funding we already have.

As a Site Inspector, you will be in charge of conducting independent site inspections to evaluate the quality of the workmanship and specifications in comparison to the contract, as well as making sure that the health and safety of the site and the workers are always upheld.

Along with working with the Clerk of Works and Employers Agent to ensure Hyde’s standards are met, you will also submit findings at sites around the Hyde regions to the Project Manager for recording and addressing at site meetings.

Job Responsibilities

• Throughout the construction phase, assist the construction team by making frequent site visits and inspections to evaluate the build’s quality and safety.
• Participate in the evaluation of ERs to make sure the right standards for quality, health, and safety are met.
• Send the top management team periodic reports on the quality and safety of the site.

Job Qualifications

• Candidates must exhibit a solid technical understanding of building technology and conformity with the GLA/Homes England, NHBC/Premier/LABC, and other pertinent housing standards, as well as the Building Regulations.
